Pandemony! 1.1


The first Pandemony! update is here, not including the LITE version, which was just a minor cosmetic change. New versions of Pandemony! from this point on will use the LITE version as a base, as the Mode 7 effect included in the BETA and 1.0 versions was buggy and could cause slowdown and crashes!

This version has a couple of fixes. They are as follows:

  • The Crypt of Zeph (final dungeon) now has an extra key so that it's impossible to get stuck. I had reports of people opening the doors in the unintended order or trying to be extra thorough, which could result in them being softlocked. That was an unintentional and unnecessary punishment for exploring a dungeon.
  • A couple of barrels in the Trop Port inn have been moved as it was possible to get stuck after jumping behind them.
  • I have given the Fighter class an extra attack to make it a more viable class to use without simply making him a light spellcaster, which seemed to be the dominant strategy.
  • The Rogue class has been given a dual wielding slot for the same purpose.
  • Just the same, the Monk now has two extra attacks. I found that the Monk was very powerful in the early game, but very quickly became extremely weak. Hopefully this will remedy that problem.
  • The player home on Warmwar Island has now been given working beds.
  • A few aesthetic changes have been implemented such as torches on the (previously very plain) walls and a carpet of Castle Fir. Similarly, a staircase and throne have been added to Zvezda's castle to make his final room look less pathetic.
